Warehouse Associate III

Quietside also leads the way in product availability, hands-on technical training (recognized by national certification agencies) and competitive sales programs. August, 2014, Quietside officially become the member of the Samsung Group of Companies as a wholly owned subsidiary and relocated to the current corporate location in Roanoke, Texas in May 2015.

Position Summary:

This position will be responsible for the day-to-day task, product movement and resolving issues within distribution. This role supports the supervisor and provides liaison duties between the supervisor and general warehouse/forklift employees. The team leader can successfully and efficiently lead a team, delegate, assist in keeping warehouse associates motived and perform the functions necessary to ensure the proper and timely completion of activities required to meet shipping and receiving deadlines.

Other duties may be assigned In this position, either directly or through others, the incumbent will:

  • Communicate effectively to facilitate and support the warehouse operations team to meet daily goals and overall customers’ requirements. Activity can be in picking, receiving and/or shipping functions and includes supervisory liaison, handling issues, supplying information, directing product flow, providing feedback and general assistance

  • Possess job knowledge in all functions to develop new hires, cross-train others, support facility programs (i.e., safety, projects) and develop process improvements

  • Maintain records such as powered equipment logs and performs other administrative duties

  • Research and resolve issues within warehouse operations (Examples include obtaining and reporting information on damaged cartons)

  • This position will not handle employee disciplinary action


To qualify for this position, the following minimal background and skill levels are required:

  • A high school education or verifiable GED

  • Be able to multitask and prioritize between different tasks

  • Detail-Oriented

  • Must be forklift / reach truck trained or certified

  • Must be able to have effective and clear communication skills

  • Associate Degree preferred

  • 3 or more years experience in warehousing or leading others – HVAC experience a plus

  • Provide professional and constructive interaction with different organizational levels, people and situations

  • Personable

  • There will be some times where overtime or weekend work is required

  • Basic math skills

  • Basic PC skills (Excel a plus)

Physical/Mental Demands and Working Conditions:

The position requires the ability to perform the essential duties and responsibilities in the following environment:

  • Bending, pulling, stooping, pushing, pulling and lifting for more than 90% of work time

  • Visual acuity, color distinction, and numeric and character detail distinction for the analysis and preparation of statistical reports and information

  • Lift, move, or adjust general office equipment, boxes, or materials weighing up to 100 pounds using proper materials handling equipment and procedures

  • Occasionally work additional hours beyond normal schedule
