Warehouse Associate II

Position Summary:

Responsible, under the direct supervision of the Supervisor, to verify accuracy of all product orders, to package, label, and to initiate shipments specific to customer requirements. Ensure accuracy and timeliness in performance of all activities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

Other duties may be assigned In this position, either directly or through others, the incumbent will:

  • Verify the accuracy of the order to be packaged and shipped

  • Package, label and prepare shipment routing and other documents specific to customer requirements

  • Initiate transportation by accurate entry of delivery information in UPS and Federal Express online systems

  • Accurately and completely prepare other necessary export and special transportation, freight forwarder or trucking company documents

  • Prepare and initiate all large package shipments (LTL and/or Truckload) and small package shipments

  • Perform accurate counting and physical location of inventory

  • Ensure customer orders are picked accurately and efficiently based upon critical priorities and customer shipment demands of sales and order management personnel

  • Maintain accuracy and integrity of warehouse product and service parts inventory and the location of non-inventory items stored in the warehouse area

  • Facilitate the movement of products in the warehouse and service parts areas to and from all Quietside departments


Background/Experience:

To qualify for this position, the following minimal background and skill levels are required:

  • A high school education or verifiable GED

  • Be able to multitask and prioritize between different tasks

  • Detail-Oriented

  • Must be forklift / reach truck trained or certified

  • Must be able to have effective and clear communication skills

  • Personable

  • There will be some times where overtime or weekend work is required

  • Basic math skills

  • Basic PC skills (Excel a plus)

Physical/Mental Demands and Working Conditions:

The position requires the ability to perform the essential duties and responsibilities in the following environment:

  • Bending, pulling, stooping, pushing, pulling and lifting for more than 90% of work time

  • Visual acuity, color distinction, and numeric and character detail distinction for the analysis and preparation of statistical reports and information

  • Lift, move, or adjust general office equipment, boxes, or materials weighing up to 100 pounds using proper materials handling equipment and procedures

  • Occasionally work additional hours beyond normal schedule
